Juan Rodriguez, APRN
I am a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree at Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas in 2019. In 2022 with the support of generous scholarships and grants I was able to complete my studies at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where I obtained my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree which allowed me to sit for boards and become a Board Certified- PMHNP. In my spare time I enjoy playing recreational soccer and spending time with my family.
Prior to working at JNC Behavioral Services I worked as a registered nurse (RN) in the hospital setting on a Neuro- Medical Surgical unit where I gained valuable experience in direct patient care. I then worked as a psychiatric RN at Tropical Texas Behavioral Health and formed part of the Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) where we would offer treatment to individuals diagnosed with severe mental illness in the Rio Grande Valley community.
I carry out mental health assessments, diagnose psychiatric illnesses, prescribe psychiatric medications and provide education to patients and families on mental health. I am a compassionate mental health provider whose primary goal is to assist in improving the overall and mental wellbeing of individuals.
